This past weekend, we held The Couture Sample Sale here at Ellie’s Bridal Boutique. Unlike other Ellie's sample sales, our Couture Sample Sale is by appointment only, and appointments for this event were fully booked nearly a month in advance. While some brides were still able to get last-minute appointments from our Waiting List, we couldn’t bear to turn away so many other interested brides this holiday season so we have decided to EXTEND The Couture Sample Sale through the end of the month!

A number of our brides are concerned about the weather. Here is an email I sent to a bride yesterday:
"I honestly can't think of a safer place for our wedding gowns than where they are right now. While the basement of my home floods frequently, we have never had basement flooding in the 20 years we've been in our Old Town space, even when Old Town streets have flooded in the past. The streets that flood in Old Town are closer to the waterfront and we are lucky to be on high enough ground, far enough away from the water that we have never had an issue. And even IF our basement were to get a little damp, the plastic bags the gowns are stored in will also protect your gown. Since our Alterations are in the basement, your gown would also be protected from the elements even if the windows of our store were to break (again, NOT likely at all!!!). Fingers crossed that we stay as lucky as we have been in the past, but I honestly don't know what else we could do! I hope that provides some comfort for you. If you've been following the wedding world at all, you probably know that top bridal designer, Hayley Paige, got married this summer. What you may not know is that the great Miss Hayley Paige is the head designer of two of our Ellie's Bridal collections: Jim Hjelm Bridal and Jim Hjelm Occasions.
Needless to say, as an integral part of the Ellie's Bridal Family, I've been following her wedding planning since her engagement was first announced. I stalked Instagram her entire wedding weekend for photos, yet it took me over two month to finally watch this video; and I am so mad at myself for not watching it sooner! Her gowns look so much more vibrant and stunning than anything posted on Instagram.

This past weekend was full of glorious bridal fashion frenzy at New York International Bridal week. A few weeks ago, we had our Fabulous Fall Sample Sale and it was really fabulous! It's been a few Sample Sales since we've done a recap, so I thought another celebration of sample sales was overdue. We had a great turnout, tons of excited brides, and beautiful gowns that went home for an amazing price. From straps and sleeves to satin and lace, our Fabulous Fall Sample Sale had it all... see for yourself!
STRAPS! And not just any straps. Straps with lace, straps with tulle, straps with beads... the brides who ended up with these gowns are sure to look beautiful, feel sexy, and have the comfort and support of straps they desire.
